HANDLING RATES

Let the show begin!

WHY I OFFER RING-SIDE ONLY

One of the main reasons I offer ring-side handling instead of taking dogs on the road full time is because I believe in reducing stress, not adding to it. Traveling and showing can already be a big adjustment for dogs with new environments, loud sounds, and long days. Removing their owner or breeder from that process often adds another layer of anxiety.

When a dog has the familiar presence of their person nearby, it can make the entire experience more comfortable and positive. I’ve found that dogs settle better, feel more secure, and perform more confidently when the people they trust are part of the process. Ring-side handling supports that connection while still giving your dog the professional preparation and presence they need in the ring.

Watching your dog in the ring isn’t just exciting—it’s also a chance to learn. For owners and breeders, being present offers insight into how your dog is handled, how they respond in the ring, and how they compare to the competition. It’s an opportunity to see your breeding program in action and better understand how your dog is being presented to judges and peers.

It also creates space for a true team dynamic. When the owner is present, their full focus is on their dog, which makes a huge difference. If I’m handling multiple dogs at a show, I simply can’t be everywhere at once. Having the owner nearby ensures that each dog is getting the attention, comfort, and support they deserve from someone they know and trust.
